The Touraine is home to great terroirs, including the Cher hillsides rich in limestone, the famous tuffeau. Here the vine does not lack water, its soft limestones ensuring the water regulation of the soil. They marry wonderfully flint, characteristic of the soils of the Loire. Few winegrowers make great Touraine wines; it is a terroir often “exploited” badly: big yields, fertilizer, chemistry … Vincent Roussely, he does not exploit the soil, he expresses it; his vines are grown in organic, weedless without chemistry and held “with the chalk”, with a lot of rigor, and the talent in more. He picked us a nugget: a white, Sauvignon grape … as it should be in this region.

Bruno Quenioux opinion
“The Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect expression of the terroir of Clos Roussely: crystalline, of a great freshness, with notes of citrus, white flowers and peach.
The finish is persistent, with a nice balance between fat and liveliness.”
